My wrists are currently yelling something along the lines of "F*** YOU!" at me for forcing them through this. ><

This file has a huge resolution.

This is the cover for an experimental project I'll be working on, which is to learn to do some of the effects that I'll be using in mine and Aleria Carventus's graphic novel Canidae. The main point of it is practice and of course, to learn certain visual effects like speech bubbles, page layout, lighting work... the list goes on and on and on. Basically, the point is to screw up on this BEFORE I screw up on Canidae because Canidae will be like several hundred pages long at least and this'll only be about 25. (When a story is that long, you want to get the pages right the FIRST time!)

This cover will make sense once more pages are up. I'm not giving away anything yet, except that the main character is a female pepper wolf pup who is 'tame' and lives in Serenity, the international capital of Rimer.

I want her collar damnit!

I might go back later and clean up the lighting a tiny bit, but right now my wrists feel like somebody's been jabbing the nerves with a pencil, so for now I won't bother.

I need to text message Aleria, she texted me on like wednesday but my phone was dead at the time and yesterday by the time I remembered she wanted me to I had already forgotten. I asked my parents if they could add text messaging to our phone plan 'cus I use it more often than actually phoning and they were all 'noo.'

I wanna start on the next page... but I have my trade with Aleria to do and my contest entry for Silverglass still. Maybe I'll just try and figure out the layout... not to mention my wrist is being bitchy. I hope I'm not getting fricking tendonitus.

...perhaps now is the time to dig out that heating pad of mine and watch anime... you can't hurt yourself if you aren't moving!! :)

I keep forgetting to eat lunch. Maybe that's why I'm starving all the time.

Guh, you're improving so quickly!
I really love your style (which I say pretty much every time xD). And I really like those red.. ball things. And all of the movement in this.
And dogs with collars~<3
Our dogs and cats don't wear collars because they live on the farm and they'd get them caught on stuff, but I really really really love window shopping collars for cats and dogs, even if I can't buy them. ;;

The nose and eye looks a bit big compared to the face. But I love the glow.

Aw that collar thing makes sense, it's like I heard how you aren't supposed to leave halters on horses or something (somebody randomly told me that once). :D I like looking at collars too, though my two female cats are annoyingly talented at getting rid of them so I don't bother buying them anymore. My cat Sunny has a purple collar he's had since he was a kitten, but I think he just doesn't know it's there. :XD:

^^ I think my improvement is mainly thanks to meeting some animation students last year that gave me some great tips. They were nice. :heart:

Oooh, that red lighting and the windblown fur are so awesome looking! Doing a practice comic is a smart idea, I shall be watching to see how it pans out!

As far as I'm concerned, this was well worth all of the effort! What a delightful and beautiful cover! The lighting is really great in this.
