Anyway, finally got something useful done today, after hours and hours of working on a storyboard which I'm not handing in tomorrow because it's just too long. It's okay though, because I have a backup board I did in the summer to help me!

Enjoy. This particular layout was butloads of stress and angst, but I'm fairly happy with the result. Unfortunately, I'm still not altogether pleased with the ink job I did on the fortress - the lines are much too thin. Any suggestions on how I could make them thicker would be greatly appreciated.

This was inked digitally entirely on a Wacom Cintiq. I know a lot of my classmates prefer inking layouts tradionally, but damnit, whenever I do that it just looks like crap. This looks at least 50% better than every single one of my traditional attempts, partially because there's no icky ink or graphite smears which I inevitably leave. Me - good at traditionally inking characters, terrible at inking layouts. >< Can't win!

So now I'm going to go home, before the security guard comes and kicks me the hell outta here because I'm alone in this lab and that's against the rules.

I'm also hungry, so I need to get home asap so I don't wake up my roomie too much with the inevitable and fanatic reading of Star Wars fan fiction that I'll soon be taking part in. It's 11:30 pm, but damnit, my brain needs some creative input or it'll leak out my ears. And food. There's a bit more food at home. Fooooood.

Speaking of food, I now have a supply in my locker here at school, so I can stay here indefinately! YAY! NO MORE STARVING!

Well, slightly less starving anyway. I'm only allowed to eat the food when I'm staying late, which is oh yeah, nearly every day...

I can't wait to colour this next semester.
