OMFG IT'S FINALLY DONE!!!!!
I'm so happy I could... start a new picture!
(Actually technically I already have... I could finish the bg lineart today on it... )
First of all, before I forget;
Layers: 97
Time: Approximately two weeks. (Or perhaps elapsed together two full days.)
OMG 97 freaking layers. O.O I never knew I had that sort of oomph in me... that FAR surpasses my old record, whatever it was! I can't flaming believe it!!! (I think maybe it was like close to 50 maybe?! I dunno!!)
Well, this thing sure was a labour of love.
It took me AGES to do and added to the hugeness of this picture is the fact that I did it at 3X the resolution of the original sketch. (It has been returned to it's original resolution for deviantART of course.) I did this on purpose, because I'd like this to be an actual poster. I might make it a print, but I want to see if I can get it printed in anycase. Then I'd have something REALLY cool to put on the wall of my new place (in Vancouver!)
This just in - we officially own our new house! I'm so happy!!!
Well... this has been a good day.
My brother's officially moving out, this picture is done and somebody joined my forum. Not only that, in two days I'll know whether or not Capilano College has accepted me and on top of that, today I applied for scholarships! *happiness*
So yeah... it's done. FINALLY.
Emperor's Blood is almost complete, so expect me to send in the manuscript for Ashes of Hope pretty soon. (Soon as in the next few months... not like weeks or anything mind you.)
Every single blade of grass was hand drawn.
NOTE: The thing Zack (the hairy bushman looking 17 year old) is riding is NOT a wolf OR a horse. Niku is a HYNORSE, a sentient fallan creature from the deserts of Escavia (note his sandy pelt colour). The purpose of the reigns is NOT to steer with hynorses, but for during battle and simply hanging on, since hynorses are quite fast. Note that Zack isn't holding them.
